I love a variety of subjects, and I enjoy tutoring because I can help students become comfortable with academics. I am an undergraduate student at the University of Washington with a major in Biology and a minor in Russian. I've been tutoring students of many ages since high school, with my focus on students from age 10 to age 20. Biology is my personal passion, and my favorite subject to tutor students in. This science connects every living thing on the planet. I plan to eventually go to medical school, although I want to take two years off of school to work in the sciences. I also enjoy tutoring students in Russian, English, and mathematics, and I use my passion for each of these subjects to help my students learn to love these classes. I want my students to not only understand these subjects better, but find their own reasons to love and enjoy them. I work with my students as individuals to find out how they learn the best, and use that to help them, rather than just explaining everything by rote. I can also tutor students in college test preparation, both on the reading and math side of the test.
